What is this webinar about?

What if your next trip wasn't just a vacation — but a chance to walk through history alongside the scholars who study it?

In this exclusive live webinar, Dr. Eireann Marshall takes Antioch alumni on an intellectual journey through the civilisations that shaped the world we live in — Rome, Greece, Renaissance Italy, Anatolia, the Caucasus, and beyond.

This is not a typical travel presentation. It is an evening of ideas, stories and discovery, led by an award-winning archaeologist who has spent her career bringing ancient places back to life.

During this webinar you will discover:

  • How scholar-led travel transforms destinations into living, breathing experiences

  • The historians, archaeologists and cultural experts who lead each journey

  • Exclusive access and experiences unavailable on conventional tours

  • Upcoming Antioch alumni travel opportunities around the world

Your guide for the evening

Dr. Eireann Marshall

Archaeologist · Cultural Specialist · Scholar-Guide Institution: Research Associate & Associate Lecturer, The Open University (UK)

Raised in a 15th-century villa in the Veneto region of Italy and educated across three countries, Dr. Marshall brings a rare combination of archaeological rigour and warm storytelling to every journey she leads. She holds a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a PhD from the University of Exeter, where she researched ethnic identity in ancient Libya.

She has led cultural and archaeological tours across Venice, Pompeii, Sicily, Tunisia and the wider Mediterranean, and was recognised by Wanderlust Magazine as a Top History & Culture Guide. Her guiding philosophy is simple: don't just ask what you are seeing — ask who lived here, what did they see, what did they feel.
