about the tour

About The Tour

More than 5,800 years ago, farmers on a bare limestone plateau in County Clare raised seven massive stone slabs into a tomb for their dead. The Poulnabrone Dolmen still stands today. Thousands of years later, monks on the Dingle Peninsula built a chapel of dry stone shaped like an upturned boat, so well made that it has kept out the Atlantic rain for close to a thousand years. In a glacial valley in Wicklow, a hermit’s retreat grew into one of the great monastic settlements of early Christian Europe.

This journey follows Ireland’s story through its landscapes, from Georgian Dublin to Connemara’s stone walls and thatched cottages, the sheer Cliffs of Moher, the coastal roads of Dingle and Kerry, and the round tower of Glendalough. Along the way there are lively towns, traditional pubs and, every evening, a good dinner and the famous Irish welcome.

Signature Experiences

Our  itinerary is built around hands-on encounters with the traditions that define the country — not performances staged for tourists, but living practices you take part in directly.
